Today is the 3rd consecutive day of doing overtime, and as if I'm not tired n pissed enough, I received an email on our internal staff promotion.
Now, how do u guage if a person is eligible for a promotion?
1) seniority? Ok, if u consider working for 2 yrs or less than 1 yr is a longer period than working for 3yrs.
2) working attitude? If u consider being late almost everyday or taking 2mths of unpaid leave not long after ur probation is better than being early/on time for work.
3) workload? Having to work overtime(compulsary) on every last, 1st n 2nd of the month + having to do jobscope of finance, rma, logistics on top of ur own sales job is not considered doing more than u shd.
All the above really makes me wonder what is the criteria to be eligible for a promotion. Not that I desperately want a promotion. But come on. Be justifiable. All I can feel now is disappontment in this co and my vp. If not for my pregnancy now, I will definitely leave.
Envy for Claire who will finally be leaving this hella a place soon.
